With the strength of a 30-year career in both retail and auto industry management, Tim was a natural to start an auto dealership sales and acquisitions business with a new approach that has proven to be perfect for our times. In its first six years Tim grew a start-up company to become the largest auto dealership brokerage group in the country. In 2011 Tim Lamb Group handled the biggest single transaction (16 dealerships) in the history of the car business.
Tim was raised in a family dealership business gaining experience in every department. That was followed by a respected 22-year career at General Motors working up the ranks from District Sales & Service management, Team Manager, Direct Marketing Manager, Assistant Zone Manager to Zone Manager.
Tim is a seasoned professional of financial analysis of auto dealerships, market analysis and dealership buy-sell negotiation with market experience that covers 40 states. Extensively trained with years of applied practice, Tim continues to build his business with honesty, integrity and trust. He has hand-picked his team of regional directors and plays a pivotal role in every buy-sell and dealer network initiative.
Gordie Gerbrandt
Canadian Director
Gordie joins Tim Lamb Group after recently selling his successful Canadian dealerships. His experience as an owner/operator, and ultimately, taking the lead as the seller of his dealer group in Canada, makes Gordie an ideal member of the Tim Lamb Group team. Throughout his career, Gordie has progressed through the dealership ranks as sales associate, to general manager, to partner in addition to experience with a subprime lending institution, Canadian National Auto Loans.
Equal parts numbers and relationship-driven, Gordie’s strengths include opportunity identification, operational improvement, mentoring and coaching, financial statement analysis and preparation, marketing, and networking.
Hannu Ylanko’s career affords him a unique insight of both the retail and OEM side of the automotive business. His experience is invaluable in assisting dealers desiring to realize the best value from their operations, or who look to expand their current business.
Hanno has over 40 years of automotive industry experience, starting his career with General Motors in the early 70s as the industry was about to undergo its first dramatic change resulting of the oil embargo. After seven years with GM in various sales and marketing roles, he joined Honda Canada's Acura division, becoming part of the team to set up this Japanese luxury brand in North America.
Hannu has worked with Mercedes-Benz Canada both in its retail and wholesale divisions. During that time he served as regional manager, Toronto retail operation manager, vice president of sales, and vice president network development and training.

Brian joins the Tim Lamb Group after spending the last five years building an automotive finance company from the ground up. Partnering with over 200 dealerships in Western Canada, Brian was able to take the company from inception to its recent sale to a large dealer group.
Brian's more than twenty-year career in automotive and financial services started with sweeping floors in his family's Chrysler dealership. Brian worked many jobs in his families Automotive, RV, Marine, and off-road vehicle dealerships from sales to admin and management. Currently completing his MBA, Brian has a strong background in credit, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
Brian is excited to join the Edmonton office and help provide more dealership owners the opportunity for an alternative way to connect with buyers throughout Canada and the United States.
